How to add someone to a photo

  1. Choose the base photo

Use the group picture you want to edit. A clear, well-lit photo gives the model more information about the original people, perspective and setting.

  2. Add the missing person

Choose a separate portrait and a position: automatic, left, right or back. Keep the preserve-existing-people option selected to ask the model to retain the original group.

  3. Review everyone

Sign in, confirm permission and review the 10-credit fee. After generation, compare the original group and added person before downloading or sharing.

Check the whole group

Adding a person regenerates part of the image. Preservation is an instruction, not a guarantee: faces, hands, clothing and the background can change. Do not use an edited group photo as proof that someone attended an event.

Adding a person: questions

Will the original people stay unchanged?

The default instruction asks the model to preserve them, but changes remain possible. Compare every original person, not just the added face.

Where can I place the added person?

Choose automatic placement, left, right or the back row. The model adapts perspective and lighting, so the exact position may vary.

What photo should I use for the missing person?

Use a recent, clear portrait with one visible face, no sunglasses or heavy filters and lighting reasonably close to the base photo.

What does an edit cost?

One 2K edit costs 10 paid credits. Signup-preview credits do not cover editing. Obtain permission from everyone in the photos before submitting.
